It has come to our attention that certain members of the public have received fraudulent emails and donation certificates, purporting to be from Lee Shau Kee Foundation (“the Foundation”) and endorsed by UNICEF, which claim that the recipient has been awarded a specific amount of money by the Foundation.
These fraudulent emails were sent from email addresses such as “email@example.com”, “firstname.lastname@example.org” and “email@example.com”.
The Foundation does not make any such awards and has no connection whatsoever with these fraudulent emails and donation certificates. We have reported the above matter to the Hong Kong Police and alerted UNICEF Hong Kong.
Members of the public should be vigilant against possible scams. If you have received such fraudulent emails and/or donation certificates, please do not reply to or provide any information to the sender. If you are concerned about any suspicious communications, you may contact the relevant law enforcement authorities.
